Indiana, PA (December 27, 2009) With the final days of 2009 waning and after 13 seasons of successful operation under the Geesey Brothers, Andy, Series President, has been forced into making a very difficult decision to suspend all operations of the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series. The reasons are clearly evident with the current economic climate, changes in job related positions for Jeff, Andy, and Matt, as well as the increased proliferation of Series’ and organization have made it impossible to continue on.
Jeff summed it up by indicating,”The reason for the closure was multi-faceted but the increased pressure among organizations and the narrow band of facilities capable of handling larger events, as well as the constant overbooking of events and relative proximity to each other makes it very difficult to maintain a consistent schedule with full fields of cars”. |
