The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series’ event for Friday, September 1, at DIRT Motorpsorts’ Lernerville Speedway was cancelled due the bands of rain from the northern march of hurricane Ernesto. This was the second rain related cancellation in as many attempts for both the Series and the track this year.
Race Director’s Gary Risch, Jr. and Sr. as well as DIRT Motorsports representative Ben Geisler along with MACS Series representative’s couldn’t find a suitable replacement date due to the limited schedule availability for the speedway as well as the number of large shows spanning the balance of the racing season; therefore, the “Larry Peters Memorial” will not be rescheduled.
