MACS’ Closeout Season With BIG Kahuna VI November 3 & 4 at “The Rock” |

With the MACS Championship title still up for grabs between current points leader Jason Covert, York Haven, PA, who clings to a slim 40 point lead over defending Series Champion Mike Balzano, Parkersburg, WV, and Jim Bernheisel, Lebanon, PA, who are both deadlocked in a tie for second the final two points races carry a significant amount of importance as the Series heads to Oval Track Promotions, Rick and Ernie Jones Allegany County Speedway “The Rock”, Cumberland, MD for the Big Kahuna VI.
The festivities kick-off on Thursday, November 2 with an open practice session for all divisions 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Pit gates open at 3:00 p.m., with general admission gates opening at
5:00 p.m., Arm bands from October 5th are being honored.
Then Friday’s complete one-day MACS event is a 44-lap, $5,000 to-win program which features AFCO “Shock the Clock” time trials presented by Sue Stevenson Photography; Qualifying heat races; Sunoco Race Fuels B 1st Main presented by Bazell Oil; Malcuit Race Engines Dash King presented by Wildside Custom Race Trailers; the Goddard Performance 2nd B main presented by Warrior Race Cars. Also on the card Friday will be the Hobby Stocks paying $300 to-win for their 20-lap feature as well as the 8-Cylinder Junk Cars for a $150 to-win 15 lap feature. General admission on Friday is $25.00 while pit admission is $35.00. Pit gates open at 2:00 p.m. with the general admission gates opening at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting is slated for 6:00 p.m.
The “Big Kahuna VI” purse each night (Friday and Saturday, November 3 & 4): 1. $5,000;
2. $3,000; 3. $2,000; 4. $1,500; 5. $1,250; 6. $1,100; 7 $1,050; 8. $1,000 9. $900; 10. $850; 11.$800; 12. $750; 13. $700; 14. $650; 15. $600; 16. $575; 17. $550; 18. $525; 19-26. $500. All drivers who do not transfer to the A Main will receive $100.00 tow money each night.
Saturday, November 4th in yet another complete one-day MACS event again being 44-laps and paying $5,000 to-win. Pit gates open at 2:00 p.m. with the general admission gates opening at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting is slated for 6:00 p.m. The raindate for the weekend is Sunday, November 5th.

Each MACS event consists of AFCO Racing Products “Shock the Clock” time trials presented by Sue Stevenson Photography, Malcuit Racing Engines “Dash King” competition presented by Wild Side Custom Racing Trailers; heats are presented by Bud Watson’s W&W Racing Supply/Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic and Hoosier Racing Tires; Lias Tire Racing Division/American Racer; Dave Poske Performance Parts and Rocket Chassis; ATL Fuel Cells and BERT Transmission; Mason Racin’ and GRT Chassis; Frankland Racing Supply and American Die Cast; King’s Jewelry/ARTCARVED; Pietragallo, Bosick & Gordon, Corporate Attorneys Pittsburgh and Design 500 Racewear; and the Sunoco Race Fuels 1st B Main presented by Bazell Oil as well as the Warrior Race Cars 2nd B Main presented by Goddard Performance Parts. Additionally, the WRISCO Aluminum MACS ROY chase will determine the ROY title. Penny Blose’s Country Candles is another sponsor of the Series contributing to the drivers’ wives prize packages. ASI Racewear is sponsoring this years “Hard Charger” program which is worth $100 gift certificate per event as well as gift certificates for the banquet.
Lee Havlik’s Chase Decals is providing a $100 gift certificate per event for the “Hard Luck” Award. Additionally Chase Decals will be providing $500 gift certificate for the MACS 2006 Champion as well as for the WRISCO Aluminum MACS ROY and the driver in the top 10 with the worst luck of the season. Genesis Shocks in addition to providing the five $200 gift certificates through out the season is providing $2,000 worth of gift certificates at the banquet for drivers in the top 10.
Duralite Wheels, (OK) are awarding four new aluminum wheels to drivers in the final top ten of points. Three wheels will be standard late model aluminum wheels while the fourth will be a beadlock wheel. Brian Booze and BBR are providing the champion a gift certificate for $300 toward the purchase of a new helmet.
ACPT Carbon Fiber Drive Shafts will be awarding a new customized carbon fiber drive shaft to one of the drivers in the final top ten of points. AlturnaMats will be providing a set of their high quality pit mats for one of the teams in the final top standings.
Ron “Flea” Fleenor’s Custom Helmet Art is providing a customized helmet paint job for the champion as well as the WRISCO Aluminum MACS ROY. Simpson Racing is also providing a helmet to the top ROY driver.
Jamie Christy’s Impact Graphics will be picking ten races providing $100 gift certificate for the “Quick Time Award” and if that same driver that sets fast time is able to win that night’s feature s/he will earn an additional $100 gift certificate. Impact will also provide a complete decal job for the 5th place finisher in the final points standings valued at $800 as well as a $250 gift certificate to the 7th place finisher in the final points standings.
