After a bad start in 2006 Robbie Blair’s year ended solidly by winning the Track Championship at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio. “We didn’t start out to win a track title. We had a bad Florida trip and that had us in a hole, then we blow a motor at Cumberland, Maryland and we were really strapped”, said Blair. The he added,” Last year we planned on the series but, the way it opened (with all our bad luck) we had to stay close to home. Winning the Championship really helped to turn a bad year good”.

For 2007 Blair will return to The Mid Atlantic Championship Series. Blair, the Series 2004 Champion, commented on running the series. “It’s a good deal points money wise, There may be times when you have to look at the schedule and wonder why you may be passing one event to travel but you go and do well or win. It’s worth while”.
Other than the MACS series Blair has a couple of dates in mind being The Dirt Track at Lowes for ‘The Colossal’ and a few selective World of Outlaw shows. “Right now I’ve got to rebuild the Tow Truck, it is in need badly. That and get the cars ready”, stated Blair.

That chore has increased for ‘The Titusville Terror’ as last season his son Max showed his talent by winning MACS’ Indiana County Tourist Bureau Sweet 16 King of the Hill event at Jack and Donna Lentz’s Challenger Raceway during the annual Fall Fest show topping Jeremy Miller in the final. “Max just turned 17 last week (Jan 20th) and we just got his car back from having it blasted and painted”, he said. How hard is it getting two cars ready? “It’s hard at times but I knew it was something I would have to do one day”, he said.

Blair plans on a mixture of racing during off time from his MACS tour. Blair explained, “I could be at a major race, some other tour or around home racing with Max. For me personally I like it when I can race a lot, the more I race the better I do. So if I start out well as I have in the past and have some luck I should be racing quite a bit this year”. Then he added, “I’m looking forward to the season getting started and right now we’re in the shop working to get ready”.

Blair’s Rocket GTO is powered by a Draime Engine and sponsored and supported by the following; Specialty Products, Bossards Used Auto Sales, Hooiser Tire, Genesis Shocks, Hypercoil, and Simpson Safety Products.
