Strong Slate of Sponsors Return for ‘07 with MACS

The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series is proud to announce a strong contingent of loyal sponsors returning for the 2007 season. The list of sponsor’s for the series reads like a who’s who among the dirt Late Model Industry.

Each regular MACS event will consist of the AlturnaMats® “Shock the Clock” time trials presented by Sue Stevenson Photography which will establish the heat events for the evening. AlturnaMats® will also provide a $200 gift certificate to the fast qualifier.

The fastest four drivers in each heat will once again be inverted. Heats are sponsored by Hoosier Racing Tires and Bud Watson’s Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic (HTMA); Lias Tire Racing Division and American Racer; Dave Poske Performance Parts/Hoosier Tire Ohio Valley and Rocket Chassis; ATL Fuel Cells and BERT Transmission; Mason Racin’ and GRT Chassis; Frankland Racing Supply and American Die Cast; King’s Jewelry/Artcarved; Pietragallo, Bosick & Gordon, Corporate Lawyers Pittsburgh and Design 500 Racewear;

The fastest eight drivers transferring from the heats will draw a pill for their starting position in the 8-lap, AlturnaMats® “Dash King” competition presented by WRISCO Aluminum. The order of finish from the Dash will determine the first four rows in each nights A Main.

Sunoco Race Fuels will once again headline the 1st B Main which is presented by Bazell Oil. Sunoco and Bazell are again providing a huge incentive to any driver utilizing their product. If the Champion uses Sunoco Race Fuels and provides the necessary receipts he or she will earn a $4,000 bonus, which could have one driver earning $20,000 for the Series title. The second B Main title sponsor is Warrior Race Cars and is presented by Goddard Performance Parts.

Additionally, WildSide Custom Racing Trailers is presenting sponsor for the MACS Rookie of the Year chase which will determine the 2007 ROY title. Also for 2007, WRISCO Aluminum is taking on the role of the nightly “Hard Charger” award which will have a season long point’s battle that will determine WRISCO Aluminum Hard Charger title.

Genesis Shocks through Mike’s Far and Lutz will be providing over $3,000 worth of gift certificates throughout the season and at the banquet for drivers on the Series trail. They will be providing five, $200 gift certificates for the fast qualifier during Ernie Shelton’s USA 100 at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, Jamaica, VA; Pepsi 75, at the Coleman Families Portsmouth Raceway Park, Portsmouth, OH; the final night of the Big Kahuna at “The Rock” Cumberland, MD; and Fall Fest XIII at Jack and Donna Lentz’s Challenger Raceway, Indiana, PA. One wild card night will be announced as the season schedule is underway.

Other Series sponsors included Booze Brothers Racing providing a $300 gift certificate for the Champion toward the purchase of a new helmet. Simpson Racing will be providing a $400 toward a gift certificate for the Wildside Custom Racing Trailers MACS ROY titlist. The helmet god, Ron “Flea” Fleenor will provide one of his custom helmet art creations for the 2007 champion as well as the Wildside Custom Racing Trailers MACS ROY.

Lee Havlik, Chase Decals is providing a $100 gift certificate per event for the “Hard Luck” Award. Additionally Chase Decals will be providing $800 gift certificate for the MACS 2007 Champion as well as for the Wildside Custom Racing Trailer MACS ROY.

WRISCO Aluminum will also be providing aluminum sheet products to the top 10 drivers in the final point standings at the annual banquet in January 2008.

Duralite Wheels is awarding six new aluminum wheels to drivers in the final top ten of points. Four wheels will be standard late model aluminum wheels while the two will be beadlock wheels.

ACPT Carbon Fiber Drive Shafts will be awarding a new customized carbon fiber drive shaft to one of the drivers in the final top ten of points. This is ACPT third year with the Series.

ATL Fuel cells will be providing nightly gift certificates as well as gift ertificates for the top ten drivers in the final points standings.

Design 500 will be providing two, $200 gift certificate per each event. They have designated that the first driver to benefit will be the one that finishes fifth in the A Main plus a $200 gift certificate for the first non-transfer driver in the Sunoco Race Fuels B Main presented by Bazell Oil. Additionally, Design will distribute $2000 worth of gift certificates to the top 10 drivers in the final 2007 MACS points chase.

Frankland Racing supply will be furnishing over $1,700 in gift certificates to the final top 10 in the points standings. King’s Jewelry and Artcarved - $1,500 diamond studded Champions Ring.

Mason Racin’ $1,000 worth of gift certificates at the banquet as well as BERT Transmissions will be providing a gift certificate for a $2,000 BERT rear-end, through their local distributor Mason Racin’.

Mark Richards and Steve Baker from Rocket Chassis have posted a new Rocket frame valued at $3,500 for the 2007 MACS Champion if he or she is pilots a Rocket through the year.

Jamie Christy, Impact Graphics will be providing 10, $100 gift certificate for the “Quick Time Award” and if that same driver that sets fast time is able to win that night’s feature s/he will earn an additional $100 gift certificate. Impact will also provide a complete decal job for the 5th place finisher in the final points standings valued at $800 as well as a $250 gift certificate to the 7th place finisher in the final points standings.

The green flag drops on the season on Saturday, April 7 at “The Rock” Allegany County Speedway, Cumberland MD for a 44-lap, $5,000 to-win show that has $32,700 up grabs.
