Indiana, PA (April 10, 2008) The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series’ sanctioned ‘Ice Buster 50’ at Ryan & Gina Lynn’s Hesston Speedway has been postponed until Sunday, May 11th for extremely wet conditions at the Hesston, PA high-banked 3/8 mile.

“We did not want to have to make this decision but the grounds here are very wet and very soft,” said Hesston Speedway Promoter Ryan Lynn. “With the fuel costs on the rise we felt it was in everyone’s best interest to postpone the event until May when we will have a better chance of getting the track in the condition it needs to be in for a premier event like this. With the weather being the way it has, we haven’t been able to get on the track yet and a lot of our equipment is stuck in the infield,” concluded Lynn.

MACS Public Relations Director Jeff Geesey agreed with the decision, “Although we were expecting a spectacular field of cars, the fact that there is a little more inclement weather on the way later this week and the track crew has not been able to get on the speedway, it makes sense to hold off until the rescheduled date of Sunday, May 11th to run this much anticipated event.” concluded Geesey.
