Regina Geesey

Scorer / Biographer

Hometown: Indiana, PA
Job Title: Educator
How many years involved in racing: 12
Family: Husband-Jeff; Children-Brian 14; Connor 3; Kayla 23; and Marissa 18
Favorite Track: Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway and Portsmouth Raceway Park
Favorite thing about racing: The people!!  From the track personnel, fans, kids in the Junior Racers Club, drivers, owners, crews, sponsors, and media.  The last three years I haven't been able to travel as much as I used to, but I still enjoy all those relationships that have been built over the last decade.
What other hobbies you have: Walking!!!  I walk 3-4 miles nightly just as a stress buster.  I also enjoying doing things with my family and children.  Most people would probably be surprised to know that I hunt deer and really enjoy small game hunting with Jeff and now our son Brian.  I began hunting with my father when I was 12 years old.  I got my first buck about 10 years ago with Jeff.  My son Brian shot his first buck with Jeff during his first year hunting (2006).  I also like to go bass fishing with my mother and sisters at my parents' river cottage on the Juniata River.  Connor has been out on the boat and at age three he is able to cast a line.  Of course, Connor doesn't let the bait in the water long enough to get a bite...that will come with time.  The fish just see "bait blur" blowing past.
What do you do in the off season: Now, that we have Connor my life is truly centered around our family.  I recently got a new job working with kids with Autism, so I put a lot of time into research and preparation to support kids in schools.  In the fall, I am really focused on getting the banquet ready.  I take care of the "household projects" because of Jeff's hectic schedule of teaching welding as well as business/scheduling with the Series.
